The answer to this question is a definite yes, you can certainly take surveys and get paid for them.
The surveys are offered by market research companies as it is a vital part of them learning more about a market before they start spending millions of dollars on advertising. Without this information they could lose a fortune and so they are willing to offer rewards to get this information.
There are sadly many scams out there as well so it does pay to be a little careful. If you choose to find companies yourself then you should
- Test any contact details that they give.
- Open a new window/tab and search for the companies name plus the word “scam” or “complaint” and see if anything comes up
- Read any terms and conditions very carefully

A safer way of finding legitimate paid survey companies is to join a network. These have a small sign up fee but at least they save you the time and effort of checking for scams and the list of companies they have goes well into the hundreds. A couple of good networks are Express Paid Surveys and Maximum Paid Surveys.
You won’t get rich taking them but online surveys can certainly be taken for cash. The more companies you sign up with the greater amount you will make so if you do decide to give them a try remember to sign up with as many companies as possible.
